LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The City of Henderson will be hosting its annual community clean-up and recycling event.

Henderson Shines, which aims to promote neighborhood beautification, will be held on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Whitney Ranch Recreation Center.

Residents are invited to dispose of hazardous materials such as paint, oil, prescription medication, and electronics responsibly. They can also recycle or donate gently used clothing and other household items.

At the last Henderson Shines community clean-up, the City of Henderson collected:

  • 7,800 pounds of paper for recycling
  • 8,100 pounds of paint, oil, and aerosols for safe disposal
  • 5,100 pounds of batteries for proper disposal

Republic Services, Goodwill, Blind Center of NV, Opportunity Village, and the Henderson Police Department will be on-site to assist residents.
